Laws of Ph-motion

Most people know Newton’s third law … “For every action, there’s an equal and opposite reaction!”. What I didn’t realise is that this law would come back and bite me in my pharmacy career.

As you can see the last blog I wrote was many months ago. This is not because of the loss of interest … but far from it! I have been very busy trying to unite the independent pharmacists in my area. It’s taken several months but I finally have got the message to everyone. What I thought was a positive way forward has turned round with a ‘Cause & Effect’ bite on my arse! It seems that politics in pharmacy is greater that I imagined.

Particular leaders in my area have tried very hard to stop this unity I am trying to build! Why?! Is it because I have made them feel they could do more (has guilt set in?) ; or is it a way for them to protect their own self!

One thing I have learnt about leadership is that you can only lead a group without looking out for yourself. The gain has to be for the united, not just your own selfish reasons. Is this why the occupation I love so much is in such fragments. Are the leaders selfish?

I hope to change that … A new way for Pharmacy in 2014. We need new Laws of Ph-motion!
